Vacuum Breaking (Air Inlet) Valves for Sewage

Cast iron body with stainless steel/bronze internal components and replaceable rubber seat for drop tight shutoff. Available for working pressures to 400 PSI. Manufactured in size 2½ to 36 inches (65 to 900 mm). Can be supplied in combination with air release valve (shown) for controlling release of drawn in air. Alternate materials and higher pressures available.

Function and Applications Installed to rapidly admit air into pipelines and forcemains to minimize vacuum formation, such as during column separations or excessive gravity flow.
